Rebuilding 73 windshield (WS) and need suggestions:

1. Cleaned WS frame up, piano hinge spot welds drilled, so can weld or bolt when remount. Think welds stronger, but bolts sure easier to remove if damaged.

2. Wiper: go stock or mod. Got to do drop bracket for a Ballie cage anyway, and have stock wiper parts off WS frame. If mod, what u like ? Good Tech article on one type mod. Venders have several options. Need washer setup ? I deal with Southern mud, and no experience with Moab dust, etc.

Let me know ur thoughts, what works and what doesn’t. Thanks

My windshield is bolted I wouldn’t weld it just for ease of removal/repair. As for washers I don’t have any and have dealt with southern mud and Moab dust, I just wipe it down with a towel everyday. I will say I never ever bust mud holes and will drive 20 miles around to avoid it. Mud is part of wheeling but I see no need to hit the bog. I have electric wipers it have never wired them up

I’ve done welded and bolted on different Broncos. Both work just fine

Southern mud on the windshield, stock windshield washer isnt going to cut it. Get a pump up garden sprayer and fill it with water for that stuff.
