oil leaking from valve cover breather

Seem to be leaking a lot of oil from my valve cover breather, will leave a small area about 5" in diameter on the ground after driving it for a while. oil pressure is about 70 cold and about 50 hot and drops to 35-40 on idle after it has ran awhile. Changed to different breather and still leaking. Any thoughts?

You may not have proper crankcase ventilation. Check your PCV valve.

PCV seem to be ok can blow thru it and the one way valve will move up and down when i shake it.

Replace it anyway. I have had a few that pass the rattle test but a new one takes care of the wet valve cover issue. (took me years to finally fix mine, too damn stuborn to do it until the hose split and I decided to get another valve that fit the hose better)

Stock or aftermarket valve covers? A lot of aftermarket covers dont have baffles that help keep oil out of the breather. If a new PCV valve doesnt fix it I would say your getting a lot of blowby meaning the rings are badly worn.

less than 2k on the rebuild, aftermarket covers, will replace pcv and see.

may have fixed it. Put in a MrGasket valve cover grommet with built in baffle, went for a short drive and no oil leaking out of the breather.

Excellent. Love it when a relatively cheap fix gets rid of oil leaks!
