Via private message, I've heard the one pieces often leak.

Decided to go old school and call it a day.

You guys are making a mechanic out of me!

One piece blue gaskets are the best!! I always had leaks with the cork gaskets, even with lots of silicon. The one piece design is far superior.

Yep,the one piece blue gaskets are great, they have a metal strip inside to keep it flush with the pan surface,it's what I used on my 70 restomod Lubr build,

Some would contend that screw caps and synthetic closures are better for wine bottles because of the risk of TCA contamination that comes with natural cork.

Sorry, wine is something I know waaaaaaay more about than cars and trucks.

Any gasket, installed incorrectly, is prone to leaking...

I like the one piece gaskets. If you have to replace an oil pan with the engine still in the vehicle, you'll like the one piece gaskets too!!!

I have been running a one piece oil pan gasket for 24+ years now. Absolutely no leaks at all.
Really glad I did it.
They were a new thing back then so I was nervous.
I see now that it is the only way to go.
