Old bias ply tires

Hello everyone, just joined this site. I'm sure it's going to require someone as old as Me to answer my question. On a stock un-cut, un-lifted early bronco would a 7.50x15 old bias ply mudgrip tire have fit without any clearance issues? The 7.00x15 Goodyear hi-miler xtra grip, and same size in Firestone super all-traction came on many Broncos when purchased in the mid 1970's and was just wondering if you could have jumped up to that next size without issue?

They will fit fine, especially on stock wheels. Not quite old enough but have experience with 7.00 and 7.50 15’s lol.

Although unless you are strictly going for looks, a 235/75r15 or a 31x10.50r15 will drive much better.

Thank you for replying! There would have been no issue when you put the bronco in a bind, like bottom the rig out or crawling over a log or rock?

I ran those bias on my 66' for a year or so. Fantastic look.....but they ride terrible and flat spot terrible in a short amount of time. Unless you plan on driving it weekly, or storing it in the air with the tires off ground, go with a radial.

I appreciate your reply and I remember vividly, but my inquiry is strictly to do with that era and that era of tires. That's all we had back then, so had nothing to compare to
