No, I knew. I was mentioning earlier when it was a single bar on top and the disadvantages of it. Like Tim and I have discussed several times IF you go with a single mount on top that IS a very real possibility. That's why I mentioned above and when we discussed making a top mounted anti-wrap that it should have 3 mounting points to spread that load. You have a tremendous amount of torque being transferred whereas like SPAP mentioned with almost stock everything even the early style single bars like you're running now last forever. It's totally Apples & Oranges when comparing torque applied to the ground.

So buy the brackets and I can come down and help out.
I’ll get them ordered soon!

This looks like a good opportunity to add the upper control arms for that link suspension you’ve been eluding to😉

Not to steal a sale from WH…. But Barnes 4x4 makes a nice small truss for the upper control arms that is stout, and small enough to not be miserable to work around. That would complete that step and if you move forward, it’s done.
You're a terrible influence, I keep looking at this picture and thinking how much I don't like leaves. What frame side upper link brackets are you using?

Whether I make them or by them this is what I Typically use from Barnes or Ballistic, ect. Making them isn’t too difficult with a piece of 3x3 or 3x4 box tube.

When we were counting brackets we missed those so we used some that I had on the shelf from who knows where or when.

And of course Barnes doesn’t have any brackets in stock. They’re about half the price of either Ballistic or RS.

Oh no! The infamous and now much dreaded “two weeks” quote!🙄
Usually works out to be just an initial estimate.
Hopefully not in Barnes’ case though.

Kidding I hope. It’s been an inside joke for about 40 years now. At least in my experience. Probably goes much further back than that.
The joke used to be aimed at just a few key companies that were notorious. But then it got more and more widespread until it just became a general joke and when anyone said “two weeks” you would just roll your eyes and grimace.

I hope Barnes (and everybody from businesses to personal) can recover and get back on their feet after the Helene castrophe... so hard to imagine the total devastation... :(

Barnes is the best for pricing and great quality stuff that I have found. I bought all my brackets from them for the 4 link. About the first time I've ever bought a bracket and not made them. Too cheeeep back in the day to be able to buy anything no matter how long it took to make! lol

Unless 2 weeks turns into 2 months then it's Turkey Day weekend Tim! (unless you're going wheeling all 4 days) :)

I might be able to have the materials by then.
