My 66 was a special order paint color. What’s the deal in 66 with the silver fire suit Vynal interiors ? Mines a 2 seater. Standard interior colors white, black. Optional metallic silver.

All 66' seats were silver, buckets, benches front and rear. Dashes and door panels were bronco gray poly. Rear seat arm rests were black. There's mention of some later 66 "pony seats" that were different, otherwise, they were all silver.
Somebody high up was probably a big fan of Lost in Space that year. Or their kids were!;D
Either that, or someone in the department that had the relationship with Hollywood found out there was a good deal on some extra space suit material that wasn't shiny enough and didn't make the cut for the series, they were all over it.
