Wonder if we could get a better deal on shipping if bought a bunch of large parts at once. has anyone checked into it. I haven't contacted any vendors yet for a quote, until I get closer to buy. here is what my brother and I will be needing.
2 front right fenders
2 left front fenders
one set of driver and passenger floor pans

and possibly rear 2 1/2" springs, front shocks and some more misc. small parts. may even end up adding more to the list lol

Best deal I've found on shipping is to place the order then drive to pick it up. I've done this with JBG as they are the closest to me.

I ordered the Duff 3.5" Monster w/4-link rear and it came LTL on a pallet. It was something like $300 or $350 for the shipping--I can't imagine shipping a pallet LTL could get much less than that.

Here's what the Duff order looked like after cutting-off the shrink wrap:

Duff is the closest to me but sales tax was more than the shipping when I was looking at my last big order and they were lacking a few items. Ended up going wild horses and the shipping was still less than the tax (about a $6k order)

If shipping is a barrier to ordering from a Bronco specific vendor use Amazon or Summit for your parts. Likely everything you need can be gotten from Summit: fenders, floor pans, shocks, etc...

Or, use a local auto parts store to order your parts. They likely can get the same items, and you don't pay any shipping.

I just ordered a bunch of parts from Dennis Carpenter's to replace the complete back end of my bronco from the striker posts back. Without the floor pan shipping everything else (rear inner/outer quaters, wheel wheels, stiker posts, tailgate posts, etc) was $14.95. If I added the floor pan it changed the shipping to truck freight which was quote as being $150 flat rate but then was changed to $225. I cancelled the floor pan and bought it locally and saved $210 but you can't beat $14.95 to ship everything else.

Yeah they have 9.99 shipping on fenders I have looked into it this and they were the cheapest price I found on shipping for fenders. I don't know if that prices is good for larger (heavy) items.

You guys should try shipping to Canada, I actually drive 5 and a half hours one way to the closest Kinek location in the US to get my parts. What costs me $100 to ship in the US would cost almost $500 to come to my home. Im not saying you guys don't have it rough, but us poor slobs up her in the frozen North really get boned!

We've done that before to groups Skiddy.
The hardest part is always finding a few people within hitting distance of you that want to buy stuff at the same time.
We've had some decent luck at event time when there are going to be 100's in the same place and can ship to some local depot or resident that others can pick up from. But when just doing it yourself in the off-time, you need to get lucky and find others that need something big at the same time.

UPS kills on some of the heavy stuff. But while truck shipping ain't exactly cheap either, at least when you keep piling it on the price does not go up much each time something is added.

I think it's definitely worth the thread to see if there is any interest in your region. And if you do find a few others, also ask whoever you're buying from if their trucking company has a centrally located depot. Picking up at one of the group's places of work or residence (residential is usually more expensive though) works for sure, but picking up at the depot is usually a decent option.

Good luck!
