Painless harness and Brake pressure switch

Im doing a complete restoration on a sport 76. Ive installed the complete painless wiring harness. Also installed a new brake proportioning valve and must be newer version as it has a single wire on the pressure wiring pigtail. Original switch has the two wires. The painless harness has 2 wires on the circuit running to the switch. I was going to install the old switch with two wires but has smaller thread size. What are you guys doing to reconcile that issue?

Yep, common issue with the different threads not letting you use the old switch. But it's a relatively easy, if counter-intuitive fix.

Twist the two wires of the Painless harness together and attach to the single wire of the new switch.
Yep, it does work that way.

You can verify it's proper function when you turn the key to START it should light up the light on the dash until you release the key and let it go back to ON.

Did this work for you? I have same issue with Centech Harness. did you cut off connector on harness and twisted wires together and install a single connection too the switch on proportion valve.

Yep, this worked like a charm. Just ran the two wires from the painless harness into a sealed connecter and other connecter into the single wire from the proportioning valve. Still working out some small leaks on brake lines but it has lighted the brake light on application.
