Hello, I’m using the painless wiring harness and adding the the explorer serpentine system. Curious to how the alternator is wired in. Thanks

Pretty simple...
Battery lead, fused, to alt. Wire should be of sufficient gauge to support the Amps coming out of the Alt. Fuse should be 150 > 175 Amps (Mega Fuse)
Yellow/white wire to battery wire
Green/red field wire to a hot lead when the vehicle is running. Painless harness should have that.
White/black Stator wire is not used on a 4G, if it is on the Regulator plug.

And the most common pathway used (including by Ford) to get the battery charge cable to the battery, is to connect it between the alternator and the battery side of the starter relay.
It’s convenient and doesn’t clutter up the battery terminal.
