I debated ordering a set of the reproductions and would have a local pinstriper paint the black on. He quoted me $300 to do a set of five (have a spare).

Vinyl will work, if it's calendered vinyl you can expect about 10 or so years or usage depending on the elements it's exposed to, 5-7 years if you use Oracle 651 vinyl. Other option you could do is pickup some thin automotive pin striping tape and mask off the area you want to paint, get you a syringe fill it with paint and apply in small amounts.

Reviving this old thread as I saw a decal solution on Ebay. I just bought a set so I will see when they get here but this looks like a good option.

@ngsd How did these turn out?

Has anyone used these re-production caps, wondering how the quality is? Having a hard time finding 4 decent dog dish caps that don't cost an arm and a leg

I am torn whether I want to use mine now. I like it both ways but am leaning to no caps. Not going to sell them yet though,

Some days you feel like a cap, some days you don’t. What are the specs on your wheels?

@ngsd Both look great! What are the specs on those Wheel Smiths?

17x9, but what backspacing and tire size? I'm set on those wheels, just need to pick the right backspacing for 285/70/17's.

If you do decide to go no caps down the road, let me know :).

4.5 is looking like my number for 17x 8. I will be running 285/75 because they are a bit narrower and taller
