I painted mine with Rust-oleum truck bed coating. It has a non slip texture to it. If it's moist outside and you grab the cage when getting in it won't slip.
I used Rustoleum Semigloss (Rattle Can). I did this over a year ago and am still happy with the results. I think I used 1 can of primer and 2 cans of paint. All in at about $30.
76Yeti and CS_88, How long have you had VHT? Is it durable? Scratch easily?
I'm looking to go gloss black. Did you prime it before you painted? Is it UV stable?
Thanks,
David

I’ve had zero problems with the Roll Bar and Chassis paint.
It’s been about six years and still looks great.
I did not use a primer as VHT says it doesn’t need one. I just lightly scuffed and cleaned the cage.
Not a fun job, about 5 1/2 cans for me.
Good paint.
Looks nice Powers4680. I had originally planned to powdercoat, but I'm not hearing good things about the powdercoaters in my area.
Advance Auto has VHT 11oz can for 8.99
Amazon has VHT 11 oz can for $15.51
Anyone have a secret place they buy VHT for less??
Anyone use KBS??
