Here’s my parchment mix. We used it for dash, door inserts and speedometer ring. I’d also recommend the SEM light parchment for vinyl and plastic pieces including the sun visors. If you go that route, make sure you read up and get the SEM prep stuff - I think there are three stages prior to the paint itself.

chuckyb,

this is excellent! thank you very much i really appreciate it. i bought the scott drake light parchment and something just seems off , its more of a yellow beige.

i did notice that the OE door inserts were close in colour to the OE pebble beige before i primed them. then i sprayed the rattle can scott drake on the ashtray and it was like oh my what is this! lol

are you able to post a pic of your door and dash? i just want to see the contrast to see how much of difference there is. i know pics dont do justice however i am sure i can tell how much darker it is than the scott drake rarttle cans i got.

its quite possible the rttle cans i got were miss labeled or something. beside that i want to properly spray a single stage onthe dash, door inserts rather than the rattle cans. the outcome is way better and more durable.

thank you for all you time

cheers

Hey Papy

Here are a couple of pictures. I think the best picture for color contrast is one that I cannot provide now but maybe in the next week or so. That is inside of doors once I get them back together. In the meantime I hope these help.

It was made up for my body man who also is named Chuck. He has painted countless Broncos and I think that is a code that you could use with confidence.

Chuck,

so i went to the supplier today with your can label and its a great start. seems to be two different names one called sand and the other beige antelope under this PPG 25135 code. most importantly your can label says custom formula on it. my supplier is telling me that it has been altered for it to say custom formula. i am hoping you can provide me with the additional label/info that has the actual formula that your paint supplier would have created.

i attached an example label of of the PPG 25135 sand/beige antelope that i got from my supplier today. i am hoping you are able to provide me with your custom formula so i can go back to my supplier and have him mix up a quart for. hope its not too much to ask.

much appreciated
thanks

Hey Papy,

I called the PPG place that mixed up this custom formula. Here is the formula, Toner is listed on the left, parts is listed on the right. They said that this is for a pint which is all you would probably need. I forgot to ask about the gloss but I would think you would want somewhere between a semi-gloss and a satin for your dash. Others may have better info/opinions on the glossiness. I hope this helps:

J84: 236.5
J26: 22.7
J86: 5.5
J53: 26.3
J95: 291.1

this is great! thanks again for the info your time Chuck

my supplier here in town had to convert it to omni scheme as they dont use shopline. its all good and should be an exact or very close match. i also had them flatten it by 25% which will be somewhere between semi gloss and satin.

will post pics of the final results

cheers

looks like no shop here in Canada can mix this code or the paint for that matter. since i am only painting the door inserts and dash my quick fix is to order the paint from one of the vendors like colorbond or the Scott Drake AccuMatch Interior Paints L-4595 in a spray bomb

thanks again

Just a heads up, Scott Drake apparently has quite the back order on Parchment interior paint. I ordered two cans on May 28th, through Summit Racing website, and they still cannot even tell me an expected ship date. For me it isn't a huge deal because I still have plenty of other things to do, but if you are in a hurry I don't know how quick you will get it from there.

finally got the paint mixed and sprayed. took a little to get the correct paint as the paint codes provided my chuckyb were not an exact match with the paint sysytems/schemes here in Canada however all info provided was used to create this parchment colour as best i could. the sheen "semi gloss" turned out really nice and i couldn't be happier with the end results.

thank you all
cheers
