I already have slots for my '67 but I saw these on Craigslist and decided to pick them up. The deal was too good to pass up. I have a '78 Bronco and I will probably put these on it. Does anyone know who makes these? The only markings on the back say "Gardena, CA" and "Meets SEMA specs 5-1". Backspacing is 3 1/4. One is already polished, I will have to do the other 3. Here are pics of the front and back of one.

Has anyone seen a 78-79 Bronco with these slot rims? I never have and can't seem to find a picture on the Internet that shows one. I want to make sure that it looks good before I polish and throw them on. Also, I have 33" tires on my 78, I assume that the 8.5" width will be fine.?:?

If anyone can find a picture of a big bronco with slots, I would really appreciate it.

If the 33's are between 10.5" and 12.50" wide then the 8.5's are the perfect size for them. Especially the 12.50's.

I've seen plenty of them, and they even had the original slot-style factory wheels at least in '78 and '79, but those were so skinny they hardly looked like normal slots like you have. So no real comparison.
Don't see many these days though. I think they'd look ok personally. There are probably other good looking wheels out there for the full-size too, and the slots might look more appropriate on a more vintage looking EB, but I think they'd do good on your rig.

No pics of any that I can think of, but I'll dig around some.

Thanks for the reply! My 33's are 12.50" wide so that works out well. I have been looking for Hurricane or Turbine rims for the big bronco but they are hard to find. I didn't even think about slots but the price was too good, $125 for all 4. I will throw them on for now and if they don't look good, I can always sell them.

Post a pic when you get you tires mounted The EB I bought came with slot but they need some cleaning. I'm on the fence if I'm going to keep them , I think mine are 15x7 but I could be wrong I'm trying to measure them with the tires mounted I want a 15x10

Check out the "Post a Pic of your Bronco" thread in the 78-79 Tech section of FSB. Hundreds of pics and sure to be one with slots! 78-79 had an option for factory slots.

They will look great IMO, that will be perfect for a FSB and 33x12.50s, just get a set of factory center caps to complete the package

Updated 10/7/14 Pics added!

I mounted the slots on my big Bronco and they look great! Here are a couple of pictures, I didn't add any center caps. The only issue I had was the old wheel studs were not long enough for these rims, I had to have them replaced.

What style lug nuts are you running. Most of the slots use a shaft style lug nut that reaches down through the wheel to reach the stud. If you are running the acorn style they may not be correct for your wheel. I would hate to see you loose a wheel while driving.

Honestly I am not sure what style they are, the tire store installed the wheel studs and put on new lug nuts all around. I will pop one off later and look at it.
