I am looking for someone with an original 1976 or 77 bronco to take photos of the engine compartment area. Mainly need wire harness routes, solenoid area etc of the entire engine area. The more pics the better as I am putting things back together following the frame off restoration that started 15 years ago. Lost all my photos I took years ago due to a computer crash. I am willing to gladly pay for your time and effort. Pics can be sent to my email address (pbetsworth@yahoo.com) or on here if it will benefit someone else. I am going back all original so an original is preferred. My bronco is a 76 but I think the 77 is the same. Thanks Paul

I thought there might be some minor differences between some 76s and some 77’s. Not sure they would be in regard to any key locations of components.
I just remember thinking there was a little change here or there when looking under the hoods.

I’ll see if I can dig up any pictures of my friends 77, before we rewired it and put in a Mustang Efi.
But now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure he gutted a lot of the smog accessories along the way.
I’ll still check though, just in case.

Go to Bring-A-Trailer and search for '1976 Ford Bronco', and scroll through the results looking for the numerous unrestored survivors. Lots of engine compartment pictures there.

In the pic of the Red Bronco, you can even see the original main battery ground cable, with it's attachment to the body.
Right there behind and under the starter relay, with the metal tang attaching it to the body. Doubles as an anchor point, and a body ground. As Steve83 mentioned in another thread a couple of days ago, about grounding.
In the Green Bronco (Grabber Green?) you can see the empty hole where the grounding screw used to be.

This highlights the importance of adding body grounds if you ever replace the factory ground cable with a non-factory type.
That is literally the ONLY battery to body ground on an Early Bronco. If it's missing or deteriorated, your electrics can get wonky.

Here are some from a 76, hope they help. Took these to help remember where the vacuum lines went when i took it apart. This bronco has since been sold, but i kept these photos from when i was working on it to help with tech calls sometimes. We also have a 77 in a state of disrepair but the harness is there, i can get photos from that one later this week.

Thanks for the pictures of the green ‘76! Was just talking to Jim about that one yesterday because I was looking for the month it was built for another discussion. Sorry to hear it got sold because it was a real time capsule.
You didn’t happen to get a picture of the certification label by any chance, did you?
