4.5" lift w/2" Body Lift......

Has anyone tried running a 5.5 lift with uncut fenders? I would like to see what that would look like.
I plan on trying to keep my fenders stock, for now.

I should be mounting the 33x10.5 M/Ts in a couple months. This is my current 31x10.5 stuffed with 3" of lift so I should have no problem. I have rolled the lips up, and moved the forward lower corner out by remounting the support strut a couple inches.

so you did get the 10.5's to fit with minimal mods?? im hoping they will clear with just rolling the lip in...

At first the tires started to roll the lip on their own, so I bought a hammer/dolly kit to finish it up as clean as I could to avoid any shredding of rubber or metal.
On the street, there was no rubbing. It was only off road when contact occured.

Here is a wrong way to do it. put a wooden baseball bat at it's fattest end between the fender and the tire to the rear where the arch is more3 gradual. Hold the bat at a 45 degree angle and have someone drive the truck forward. the weight of the truck and angle of the bat will do the rest. At least it worked on my old Chevelle. Your tires need to be relatively close to each other for this to work. So no 19" of life just to fit 30x9.5's on an uncut rig.

bigjhoov-

Are you converting from cut to uncut in the future (JBG rear quarters)?

That's what I would like to do some days. Other days I consider cutting it all the way around since the bottom of the rest of the fenders are pretty rusty. I can get a new set of rear quarters locally from a guy for pretty cheap. I do like the uncut and lifted look though, so eventually I'll probably end up some where close to it.

Even though i didn't like the monster garage all that much; the one part i was really impressed was the wheel house treatment that douchebag (i mean jesse) gave it. Does anyone here have pictures of what i'm talking about? He cut the edge of the fender and relocated it higher up the fender. Made for a pretty neat look....

Kirk, I must have some specs on that turbo 200. I have a complete 302 drivetrain to swap into my wifes 66 bonco but I would rather do a turbo 200 like yours. Any info on the setup you could give would be awesome.

Thanks
Mike
