Pilot bearing removal Headache

I have a 5.0 thats getting ready to go into my EB. I had installed a new ford needle pilot bearing, but failed to realize it wouldnt work with my NV3550 trans. Simple enough, I went to remove it to install the correct bearing, but the puller just pulled the inner needle cage out. I have tried getting the outer portion to come out with no luck. I pounded the inner race back in and tried the grease method and it just wants to push the inner cage back out. Anybody have a suggection to get the outer portion to come loose????? I did try a little heat, but dont want to get too hot. The puller only has about a 1/32nd to grab the outer portion and its just chips off the edges......Ugh

That outer portion has a small lip on the inside face that you grab with a puller that is used in conjunction with a slide hammer.

Additionally, if you want to use the grease trick for just the outer portion, get a bigger diameter drift and follow the same steps. As long as the drift is nearly the same size as the hole in the bearing, it should press right out.

Update: I was able to drill a section out and it popped right out with a screwdriver. The lip was flush with the crank and there was no way to grab it. The drill method was simple as the outer material was cast. Thanks for the input!
