Pitting on intake manifold and cylinder head

When cleaning up to install my intake manifold I noticed around the water ports on both the elelbrock intake and the stock cylinder heads some pitting from where the old gaskets were. I have never used sealant there before and had good luck, but should I use some now? The gaskets that the parts store had are FelPro 1262 (I think) with the blue sealer around the ports. Thanks.
