Plug Found,what is it ?

Ok guys Ive been chasing a shifting problem with my C-4 trans,while adjusting the bands I found this plug laying loose ontop of the trans,what is it,could it be for the modulator valve and if so wheres the other end hook up to.

It's not a transmission part.
Looks like a molded hose end so the assambly line workers could only put it on one way.
Probably fell off, landed on the intake, then rolled down where it got stuck on top of the trans.

That plug goes on the TVS (temperature vacuum switch) on the drivers left rear of the intake manifold. If you're using an after-market manifold, and an after-market air cleaner housing, toss it.....or put it on E-bay!!

Thanks guys.everything is still all original I guess I will try to put it back unless someone has any better upgrades,its a good vehicle but has been neglected by setting up for years.
