Purchased a stock power steering setup off eBay everything works fine except for the power steering box acting like its has to much pressure at any speed above 35 Mph making it real easy to over correct, has anyone else run into this before and if so is there a fix for it?

So was that the new electronic version of "toe-in" you were referring to Steve? I tell ya, this new modern world speak leaves me scratching my head sometimes.;D

Just kidding. Hey Oldbroncofan, welcome to classicbroncos!
He's definitely on the money though with alignment. What you might not have noticed before is now amplified with the power assist.

But tell us what all else has been done to your Bronco. Any suspension lift? Different tire sizes and steering linkages by any chance?
What about other things you might have done at the same time?

And also, did you make certain to get the steering box exactly centered by counting the turns to both locks then going back to the exact middle before attaching the rest of the system to it? Very important with these old setups.
What year box? Early with 6 turns, or later with 4? Just the quicker steering can take some getting used to as well, if that's a later or quicker box

Good luck.

It's stock other than a leveling kit also replaced the bushings in the front end and had a alignment done right after I installed the power steering. I'm not sure on what year the box is think its a 76.

Always go to the basics.

What is the caster? Right side, left side?

Leveling kit? What degree bushings were installed?

You mentioned changing bushings. We're track bar bushings good. That's the 1st thing I check if front end feels funny. Between the lifts and tires I keep spare track bar bushings on the shelf. And yes spellcheck Jacks up my posts all the time if I just hit enter.

Could be looseness in the box. I never run other peoples junk without rebuilding it. Steering is too important to take chances with.

count the turns end to end by spinning the steering wheel. I had to go from the 6 turn to a 3.5 turn one and now it is soooo much better feeling, specially around 75 mph.

I replaced the track bar with a new adjustable one and used 2 degree c bushings. if that helps any.

What's the caster?

You mentioned leveling kit. That would be a lift kit for the front right? Maybe we need 4 degree bushings. If you are constantly having to correct steering right and left (wandering) I still say check the caster. If you are at 0-4 bump up to the 4 degree. Good luck.
