Hey Everyone,

I am finishing up the hydroboost install on my '71. I will be installing a PSC heatsink type cooler as part of the setup.

My thought at the moment is to mount the cooler on the front of the front crossmember, as high up as possible.

I know there's a remove chance of trail damage; but, sometimes I overthink these things.

Has anyone mounted a cooler in this location and regretted it later?

Thanks for your input.

I had a remote oil filter mounted on that crossmember. Worked pretty good for a couple years. Lost it on a snow run. The heavy hydraulic hoses the snow from dragging the filter loose.

When I installed full hydro on my rock crawler- I put it on the back side of the front x- member and have had no issues since. It does appear to be vulnerable, so I couldn't say it won't get hit off road.

I have the same cooler mounted there. Mine is protected by a custom skid plate though. Good place msince it gets some air from the fan
