I just got my bronco on the road after a long restoration and I am starting to have problems with the power steering . I have a 1977 power steering box
with a rebuilt stock pump new lines but the box is from a parts EB i had . I am using BC Broncos hiem joint steering setup with a track arm drop bracket and a drop pitman arm . When I first started driving a couple of weeks ago it had a couple of hard spots when you turned but now it has gotten worse even when driving twenty or so around a turn it almost feels like it doesnt want to turn at all . I have tried to bleed any air out of the system by jacking up the front end and turning it lock to lock but it seemed to make it worse . Could the pump be bad ? Or could it be the box need to be rebuilt ? I was told the 77 box was the closest ratio box ( 3.75 lock to lock ) I dont plan on doing any rock crawling with this one so I am thinking abought going with a earlier box 75 and older ? This box needs to be resealed anyway . And I think that the 76-77 box is more sought after for the rockcrawling O yea I am running
33x12.50x15 Kuhmo Mud tires .Any ideas ?
Thanks Robert
