I made it without incident from Arlington to Texarkana, TX with no issues. I have the only Bronco among over 1,000 Mustangs, Corvettes, Camaros, some cool hot rods, an a little bit of everything else. I am getting tons of compliments on the Bronco with the main one being "what year is it?" I'm sure some of the Corvette guys are turning their noses ate me, but most everyone is great especially the Mustang drivers.
I had one guy tell me a story from when he was in high school his dad had him go from Dallas to College Station, TX, about 200 miles to pickup a trailer, with his 71 Bronco. The trailer was was a goose-neck. The guy welded a hitch to the back of the Bronco. There was so much weight behind the axle that there was almost no response to the steering, not to mention how over loaded it was. He said about 20 miles from Dallas the Bronco let loose of one of the pistons.
It is a great adventure, I'll post some more later. The pic is from a lunch stop with a Maverick and a Shelby Mustang. You can see more pictures on my FB page, stuart r. smith in Darien CT.
