This is an annual event here in Pasadena where pre-1932 stock cars gather for a run. These cars are drivers, not show only trailer queens. There are always some rare & amazing cars that show up. We see them around town for the rest of the day too.

The show beside the show is usually made up of some cool newer vehicles and hot rods that can't go on the trip, but hang out in the parking lot before the run. I go almost every year just to see them drive. If anyone is interested, it's well worth seeing. I don't remember seeing many Early Broncos in the lot, but having a group show up would be fun.

Who? Anyone for the gathering before the run. Pre-32 stockers only for the run.
What? Very cool car show/run.
When? Sunday, December 26, 2010. Officially the gates open at 8:00 am, but we try to go earlier & see them arrive.
Where? 3035 E Foothill Blvd Pasadena CA 91107.
Why? Why not?
How much? The last time it was $5.00 to park a post-1932 carload in the lot/gravel & see the show. I don't know how much the run costs if you've got something old enough.

There are alot of unusual cars, but so many more Ford Model "T"s & Model "A"s than anything else that they almost seem common. It looks like Ford is winning the endurance race! ;D

I happened to see this parade going by one year on my way to work...it's very cool.

(Also kind of puts into perspective your definition of an "old" vehicle.)

You're welcome. It's too bad you guys aren't closer, it's a fun show.

Another bump. It's this Sunday for anyone close enough to come.

Yes, it's in their parking lot, & the gravel area under the power lines.

Bump. 2 more days until this show.

They're predicting a 30% chance of rain. I don't how many cars will show up if the weather is bad. I remember a year when it was supposed to be rainy, but it turned out clear, & many showed up a little later than usual.

Sounds good. I hope it dries out enough to have a decent turnout. It's raining right now. The forecast says 90% overnight, & 30% tomorrow. I'll be there rain or shine to see what shows, since it's close to home. My 73 isn't ready for the road yet, so I'll be driving my red & white 90 Bronco.

Well, it quit raining. ;D It's clear overhead, with some stringy clouds to the south & east. I'm headed over now.

It was a good show. The weather held, & a lot of great cars showed up.

Stroppe-Envy, was that your orange Bronco on the edge of the gravel?

Yep...and unlike the cars parked on either side of me, I just just went forward over the gravel and curb to leave. ;D

I'm assuming that your later Bronco near the fence? Next year you should plan to have your EB there...and I'll let you have the gravel spot!

Just about perfect sunny weather as you said, and some great old cars rolled off on the parade. (Forget that other parade next Saturday -- this one was my kind.) I was amazed that even a few very old motorcycles made the journey too...or at least began it.
