Why not just replace the intake with a stock iron one? One of the hardest running Broncos I've seen had a stock 302 block, milled E7TE heads, an Edelbrock Performer cam, and a stock 2bbl carb/manifold.

I looked at that. On what would be the bottom side it doesn't seal completely. The way it is machined leaves an opening.

Have you had succes with it?

I've ran one of those before works fine for running a 2v on a 4v manifold. I've also used a piece of 3/16 steel plate to adapt a 2v to a 4v manifold. But overall I dont think you'll gain anything by running a 2v on a 4v manifold. The mismatch of components may negate any gains the manifold would give.

There were some factory aluminum 2V manifolds 80's vintage I believe.

As for 2v carb flowing enough well yes it will flow enough unless you plan on running 6000+ RPM. Also there are larger 2V carbs availible if needed but with a larger carb you may lose some lowend driveability.

I've been running that exact Mr. Gasket adapter for at least 8 years now with no issues. I do have a body lift, but I think it would clear with a stock air cleaner.
I did notice the adapter was cracked yesterday at one of the mounting points when I did intake manifold gaskets. Summit sells some nicer looking phenolic 2 4 to 2 adapter too. Always had good vacuum for me, but I'm running a stock cam. But like Broncnaz said, I don't think you'll see any huge performance gains. Maybe a squeak of better low end torque. It is nicer to pull on and off, but given how often you have to change intake gaskets, is it really worth it? I just put a stocker back on since I had to change the gaskets and since I'm not looking for "seat of the pants" out of this motor. The 80s aluminum Ford intakes are nice, but are hard to find and will require a 2150 carb and not a 2100.

this is what I did except I used .250, I couldn't tell any diff from using this combo and the factory, however the performer was eaiser to install because of the weight.

I have more questions than answers.
I'm not stuck on the 2100 other than the fact it has worked so well in all situations on and off road. The preformer came with a holley that I know nothing about. I have had very good luck with qjets in other rigs both on and off road. Do not care about high rpms of lots of horsepower just good off road and street drivability. I can sure put the stock manifold back on. It is one of those since I have it and its apart things. I have some shorty headers I can add also.

Holleys do good offroad. Just having a 4v carb doesnt mean you have to run high RPM's in most cases you see gains over 2v carbs as the 4v has smaller primary venturis. but I wont argue the 2100 is a very good carb and will work fine.
