I only paid $170 parts and labor out the door for my dual exhaust from the headers back, and that includes a warrantee.

I paid about $450 parts and labor for a dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers at a local muffler shop.

ALuminized with H-pipe and dual Flowmasters $400. I just figured there are a lot of rocks around here so it's gonna get bashed anyway.

I am doing a 5.0 swap and putting in a new system... I have got a couple quotes around town that all seem to be similar:

Headers to Flow's 75 a side (include O2 Bung's) 50 a side w/out bungs welded in

Flomasters Delta 125 each (mail order 75 ea)

Muflers back 70 a side

I have come to the conclusion that if you want it done right (with good qual/sound mufflers) 400-500 is about what you are going to pay

A guy answers another guys question and you laugh at him. Shit bro be a little nicer. I mean I am sure htere are plenty of resons to laugh at you. God knows there are plenty of reasons to laugh at me, but unless its one of my friends doing the laughing at me I take a little offense to it.

Maybe there is a good reason it was 700. In San Diego, at theplace that is considered one of the best in town, 700 is what they want. 350 to put on the headers and 350 to run the exhaust.

edge4 is talking about stainless steel dual exhaust which make $700. sound about right, parts and labor.

For a mild steel set-up should be about half that.

It's interesting that the original question was how much for Stainless Steel exhaust. I feel even better now about the 700.00 that I spent. The shop installed my shorty headers, installed the O2 sensors, did an incredible job snaking the stainless duals around the giant ZF tranny and through a BC skid plate, installed 2 flowmaster 40's and then snaked both exhausts away from my pusher pump and electric switch over the rear axle, around the rear tank and out to the sides behind the fender wells. ( the proper exhaust location by the way to keep from killing the passengers or covering the wheels with soot). I felt I got out cheap. Thanks for the support and confirmation that I was not taken to the cleaners.

I ran the James Duff exhaust on my rig for a long time. It costs less than $200 for dual pipes and mufflers. Call for a shipping quote, though, 'cause it's a pretty big and heavy box. The install was really easy from my long tube headers, past my stock-other-than-NP435 drivetrain. It only took a couple of hours at the base auto shop to get the old stuff out and the new stuff in. IN fact, that set up would still be under my rig if it weren't for some significant mods done recently.
