Keep working at it, looks like yellow to me instead of gold. The first one did look too green. I really wanted to paint a Bronco gold with a white top and it came down to that or orange and my wife said orange, it's for her. I did a lot of looking for the right gold color, almost like Big Oly. I wanted it to be a bit brighter but definitely vintage gold!

Remember the gold rush edition Build-A-Bronco restored a few years back? Check out that color, it may have been Yukon gold?

Let's see that hidden fuel filler in action!

Great build so far. Uncut all the way!!!

I tried to load a gif file, but I think its too big. It only show a pic. It works pretty smooth. Spring pop magnet at the bottom

Gold is a tough one for me. I might have to switch colors.

They weren't all that rare around here back in the day, but with the usual attrition rate applied to the lower production numbers of Explorers and such, they're certainly fewer and farther between.

I have one more gold I want to try. It has a little more orange in it and if it doesn't pan out, I'm probably going to go dark red or a copper.

Well, we got a little work done over the last couple weeks. Finally got the body off the frame. All the body metal work is done, we "rhino" lined the inside of the bed and the bottom of the tub, including fender wells. Paint color has been picked and is ordered. Wheels have been ordered. 18X9.
Frame is 90% done. Has been sandblasted, painted, Shock hoops up front, dual shocks in the front and rear. Trans is rebuilt (C4). 5 1/2" lift. Probably a 1" body lift. 35 or 37 inch tires
Pulled our donor motor. 302 rebuilt, 268 cam, headers, going to do a bolt on EFI system.
Still deciding to cut it or not.........
I forgot to get picks of the frame.. Ill get some when we pull the body back off
Trying to finish up the motor this week.
More to come

Thanks, The rims are Centerline warrior patriots. Procomp use to make them, they were called Sabre's. There is a 4 week wait time on them and they are a bit pricey. $350 a wheel. I put some on the Roadster build. They are by far my favorite chrome wheel.

You move fast! Nice progress. If you cut it (and it sounds like that is the final plan with the tire/wheel choice), I call dibs on the cutouts!
