I like where you are going with it. Are the rear coil overs going to tuck inside the wheel wells or are you going to have to modify them?

Honestly not sure yet. Would rather not disturb the wheel wells because they are already sprayed with color matching bed liner, but its starting to look like mini tub fab work is going to need to be done.

Cool. Sure can. At the bottom of the page, next to the 'post quick reply' button is the 'go advanced' button. Hit that. The following screen has a button to 'upload photos'. Hit that and attach away. Hope that helps- I want to see some more!!

20160429_204507.jpg still have a bit more measuring and figuring to do before i convert the pvc links to chrommoly. Nothing more painful than making a mistake, waisting a piece of tubing and tossing it in the dumpster.

Thank you. I am sure you have other skills that I dont have like working with wood for one. Give me something to build out of wood and I am sure to ruin it.
I can work A LITTLE with wood. Not much just a little. I like old school stereo systems. Got a couple old Heathkit AA-1640 Amps as well as an AP-1800 Preamp. Built a shelf studded with 2x3's and some speaker shelves for some S-1010 Pioneer speakers I've owned since 1987. I actually got on the shelf for the amps to screw it out (I'm 270#'s) and it was solid.

Umm yea, I would not trust standing on anything I made out of wood or even those heavy ass big speakers from the 80s for that matter lol. I am liking your aluminum rod paper towel holder though, gave me a good idea for some used aluminum rods I have sitting around here

Why?

Walls - You've obviously got talented fab skills, and a pile of great parts, but I have to ask why that parallel 4-link suspension design with the huge center drop?

I feel like I'm missing something? The factory suspension is already a great platform for an excellent multipurpose rig. Add rear 11 pack leaves, Duff's extended arms, F250 shock mounts, quality shocks of the right length, get rid any binding, and articulation approaches amazing - while still retaining excellent road manners - and all without losing the ground clearance it looks like you are giving up with your design.

If you hate the stock design that much, go with Duff's rear 4-link, a custom fab'd rear triangulated four link with a horizontal / cross-member style mounts, and then a three link front.

I know you said it mostly street and beach, but it looks like you are putting a ton of time and effort into fixing a problem that doesn't exist, and you might actually be hurting trail capability if you, or anyone else ever plans to wheel the truck anywhere besides the beach.

Not trying to be a jerk, but had to ask....with those axles and that suspension design...I think you are secretly building a Monster Truck... haha

Thank you, I guess I am just trying to build something a little different than the cookie cutter triangulated 4 link with ruffstuff specialties brackets jammed on the frame in the same spot the other guy did. The center drop is 7 inches and makes the angles of the lower bars not so severe with the amount of lift the truck will have. I lowered the drivetrain quite a bit for better driveshaft angles so upper front triangulated bars would have been an issue with the oil pan at full travel. We do absolutely no rock crawling here so that was not going to change my mind on the design. I will be lucky to even use 3/4 of the travel this truck will be cabable of so when it is completed I hope no one is going to be waiting for pics of me on a fork lift stuffing the wheel up in the wheel well like I always see after a 4 link build. Just looking to cruise the hwy at 75-80 and sail over some dunes at the beach.

The factory suspension leaves a lot to be desired, especially for a capable rig. Unsprung weight isn't always a bad thing if you have the horsepower, and you don't have to sweat breaking anything, and u can upgrade to brakes that are way better than anything that came on these things. The duff kit is an excellent bolt on kit. I have the monster 3.5" on mine that is undergoing a complete makeover on my rig due to it not performing up to my standards. I say go big the first time like this guy and not deal with the headache of not being 100% satisfied 👍🏼
