If ya'll don't already know, Radio Shack is going out of business.
Now is the time to pick up any of those electrical parts you need!
I bought apprx. $60 worth at 80%-90% off and paid only about 7 bux! ;D

Yup they closed out my way about a year or two ago I thought they were just closing the under preforming stores. I guess now it's all of them:mad:

I knew they were closing all of them, actually I thought they were all already closed.
The one nearest to me closed at least a year and a half ago.

It's sad to see them go after all these years. Lots of electrical parts there.
Fixers, Fabricators and Restorers are a dying breed... :(

Hell I need to go and grab some stuff maybe then! Stinks that they are closing though. Always liked going there.

Mine haven't had any electronic parts for years.
They basically became a sprint phone/accessory store a few years ago.

Guy that owns our local Shack has had it for easily 30 years..he says he isn't closing either. We'll see, I guess...he's still open for now.

Surprised the one by me lasted so long after the purge started a few years back.
But they finally closed less than a month ago. Been going there for almost 40 years, so like anything else I lose of the old days, I'll miss it even if I didn't frequent it very often anymore.
But they were a great resource for recycling all the batteries that get used these days. Now I'll have to go to the main recycling center. I wonder if Batteries & More (Batteries Plus) will recycle regular A through D cell batteries now?

Good luck to all the good folks that worked, owned or cut their job teeth at the old RS stores.

Paul
