Protofab "Rock Solid" Rockers

Wanted to post a few shots of my new Protofab "Rock Solid" Rockers that I just had installed about 2 weeks ago. These are for those folks whose rockers are too smashed to be covered up with Rock Skis, Hanson rocker panel covers, etc. They make a completely new rocker panel section out of formed 1/4" steel with caps on each end. The old smashed up sheetmetal is cut out and these are welded in as replacements. Helps the breakover angle a bit too.

Looks tough. How much did they weigh?

To be honest, I don't know. The truck went away with the smashed up rockers on it and came back with these installed, so I never lifted them. If I had to guess, I'd say 35-40 lb. each?

I'm glad I didn't jump on the Hanson buy going on. I like this option - the increase in clearance in particular. ;D
I didn't see these on the Protofab website though (I did see the storage container you helped develop).
Are these too new to be on the website? Any pricing info?

Yes, they're too new. I think mine were only the 2nd-3rd set they've done. I just sent my pics to the webmaster last night for posting. Contact Protofab (by phone) for pricing info.

Kudos to Protofab for thinking up their own idea instead of just stealing someone else's idea. Good idea, I how they sell a bunch.

If those truely are 1/4" steel, they'll be near 100# per side.

From the looks they are about the same volumn as mine and mine are 37 each

I spoke with Kieth at Protofab,
It'll be a couple weeks before things are set in stone - so to speak, he seemed enthusiastic about them, I ordered a set, they're just right for me. price will be in the $225 - $275 range.
I forgot to ask about the weight (dang).

Keith weighed them and they're 40 lb. a piece. Price point at this time is $250/set.

I dunno where I pulled that 100# figure from. Perhaps my internal B.S. guesstamator needs to be recalibrated.
But, then again my guesstamator says that l<------------>l is three inches. :-[ ;D
