QQ - Tunnel Cover Width?

Not just width, but height under the dash would be good to know too.
And what kind of trans will you have? If non-stock, will it be floor shifted?

Several have done one type of pod or another on their tunnel, so it's doable. Not sure I've seen anyone with that exact pod or not, but it's a great way to get speakers in an otherwise (often) unused area.

So how are you building yours?

I'm still working through the right approach. It's currently getting a complete overhaul cosmetically so it "should" look factory++ fresh. Therefore, I don't want to put in something that will look hacked up. My current set up has two speakers behind the rear seats, the OEM-style speaker in dash and then a set of speakers in the center Tuffy console with one firing backward and another forward. The console set up seemed great, but the front speaker does basically nothing and the backward speaker just blasts the kids in rear. So, here's what I am trying to center on:

1) Premade speakers for the cubby area. Question if they fit the width of our center cubby area (these are made for a jeep so they may likely overhang the cubby)

2) Pod speakers (either installed under dash at angle, or on far corners of top of dash --- or perhaps even on the front rollbar)? Example below.

3) Center cubby – Buy this (http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Tunnel-Cover-Cubby-blank-no-hole/Bronco_Storage) and put the speakers on the side or put the speakers in front. Would paint this blue to match dash.

4) Kick panel speakers. I already need to shim over the e-brake to accommodate the rollbar. I just question if there is enough sound from these?

5) Full custom box – afraid won’t look right in the finished blue interior. Would need to get something fabricated and brought to paint if possible

Just putting a fork in my original question, I ended up moving forward with the Select Increments pod and added 6.5" speakers. I couldn't bring myself to cut into the doors and my feet are too big/I'm too clumsy to not kick off the panel speaker pods. Powered with an amp and accompanied by my dash speaker and two 7.7"s in the rear...I'm pretty happy. I think it's a relatively clean look and I pushed it a bit on it's edge to get further back in the tunnel.
