Question on 73 vs. 75 Ranger interior colors

Does anyone know of the '73-'74 'Avocado' interior color is the same as the '75 'Green' interior color listed in the brochures?

Ford had a nasty habit of changing color names but not actually changing colors and I was wondering if that was the case in this instance.

Thanks,
Todd Z.

Not sure Todd, but I've definitely seen two different greens on the interiors.
There was that kind of, well, avocado-ee lighter green color that was fairly common. But there was also a very deep dark green that had a lot more black in it. Pretty sure my friend's '76 Ranger has that very dark green.
Also pretty sure I've seen a few '77 Rangers with that same dark green.

So not sure about years and such, but there were definitely two different greens. At least.

My 74 Ranger is Med Lime Metallic exterior and has the Avocado interior, I have seen one other 75 with same exterior/interior colors but it did look a little different, however this could have been because of the age of the 75 also, so I cant say 100% sure in the difference.

Ford used paint from at least four different manufacturers , each with their own formulas and no real standards or cooperation between them.
Brand Y gives them a better price on a paint that is close but not exactly the same as what they got from brand X last year...

Not 100% certain, but ‘73 & ‘74 were definitely avocado, believe ‘75 (and possibly ‘76) was olive and ‘77 was jade. These are three different shades, as I found out in my search for door panels for my ‘74.
