Radio shuts off when braking/using turn signals

My radio has been shutting off briefly anytime I hit the brakes, use my turn signals, or turn my headlights on. It will shut off and then turn back on. It does it every time I turn my headlights on and most of the time when I hit the brakes or use my turn signals. After it turns back on it will work fine until I brake or use the turn signals again. I have a painless wiring harness and aftermarket radio. I’ve checked my grounds and they seem to be good. I had this problem a while ago but it seemed to fix itself when I tuned up my carb and bumped the idle up. Not sure if that has any correlation, but I have messed with my carb since then. I also have bc broncos serpentine system so I’m running their alternator for the time being until I do my explorer conversion. Any one have any ideas on what this might be?

Based on the symptoms - I suggest looking for any wires behind/under/around the pedal path. It sounds as though your pedal is pulling on the stereo wired when you press on it.

Seriously, you are pulling too much current on whatever circuit your radio is on and the radio, being modern enough, cannot get enough juice and goes down.
I guessing turn signals and brakes happen at low RPM and your charging system cannot keep up with the needed current/amps at low rpms (also low output or no net output from the alternator).
