Radius Arm Rear Bushings

Hello and thanks for your help

68 bronco, all stock, I need to replace the radius arm bushings, rear ones, (C bushings are fine). Can I just gently pull the axle forward with a cam strap to get access to the back of the arm to slip the forward bushing on?

Any special concerns or tips for this job?

Thanks so much, Pete

You will need to disconnect the shocks, drag link, and track bar for sure. Possibly the springs as well and will likely not have enough slack in the brake lines.

Wow, it was much easier when I imagined it. Oh well, I need to re-familiarize myself with that area. I have been neglecting the ol' bronco for too long. Thanks for the info.

I used that method on mine. For the amount of trouble and the time it took I could have just unbolted the springs and shocks and rolled it forward a little. By the time I was done taking one piece off at a time to gain a little more, I think all that was left was the springs, shocks, and brake line.

Thanks for the sage advise. I have ordered coil springs, I guess as long as I am in the neighborhood, I replace those.
