I bought my reamer from Mike at extreme custom fab when I bought the 1 ton tie rod set up. I have now done 4 sets with it and it works great. Good guy to deal with and the fit is perfect.

I can get it from the local snapon guy.Which would be cheaper and faster. He goes by my shop everyday. Thirdtime does the reamer you have say anything like (1/2 - 1). I would like to buy it locally if I could.

The one I got from Mike is a #2 Ball Joint Taper Reamer with a size listing of 7/16 to 1". And move slow when you ream it, but don't be afraid of it. The first joint I did took me 45 minutes, now I do them in 5.

Thirdtime thanks. Do you think if I us the 1/2 to 1" taper it will be sloppy or just go with it?

Not sure about that taper. I would call the people you bought the set up from and ask them. I would think they should be able to help you out. Good luck, it's a great system.

The snap on one is known to be the worst.
That one is mainly for cleaning up a taper, not cutting a new one.
Wild horses has the one you need.
