I know of 3 buggies from Rock Ware in Colo Springs that used Cage or Duff arms front and rear with 2.5" Fox air shocks/air bumps (I don't need the air bumps not hit speeds for me) and a trac bar/pan hard bar. All of their wb's are between 101 and 112". It's a really simple setup, and I'm thinking about doing this on the Bronco Does anyone, or has anyone used this setup on an Early Bronco?
I know the buggies have a 2x4 square section of 'frame' and they mounted the arms on the outside of the frame in single shear. I'd do the bottom of frame mount so it's double shear and have the air shocks go through the body in 14" or 16" flavor.
I'd like to do Duffs 4 link kit but I want to move the rear axle back and don't want to deal with the cross member hitting the axle mount (I have a fuel cell in the bed). So I'm thinking 5 or 6" back with Cage/Duff's arms in the rear air shocks and a pan hard bar, and Cage coils, Arms, and shocks on the front.
What do you think?
