I’m at my wits end.
Who builds a attractive rear plate bumper for my 71, something similar to Hanson but without any of the aggravation of dealing with Steve Kramer and Hanson off road, (ask me how I know) love the look of the Hanson

Thank you Calibronc66. I have their front bumper, they even did a slight modification for me, I love it, fit and finish was perfect.

I've had several Protofab bumpers over the years - I liked them. I'm currently running the Duff rear plate bumper and to be honest, it's my favorite of the 6-7 rear bumpers I've had on my truck.

Mark, I'm a huge fan of Gordon Bailies bumpers. He is in ok but I would absolutely look at the cost of shipping.

Yikes. Lol, how to sum that up in short.
Took 4 months to receive, not a big deal is Steve would have just told me that when ordering.
Shipping was a fiasco, had to go pick it up from the trucking depot. I paid for door to door.
Does not fit my bronco, called Steve and he said, just tighten everything up and it will fit. Lol yea right, so just keep tightening until everything bends into place? Including my frame? Tighten into place to overcome over 3/4 of an inch? Um no.
Welds are really non acceptable and quite frankly a beginner could have done better.
And to boot is the cost over $1300? I was expecting a really well built unit. Maybe my expectations were too high?
I did discuss the issues with Steve and his response was “send it back and I’ll make any adjustments I want to it” My expense of course. Huh?
He also informed me he will not make another bumper for me. I took that as f-off I have your money so who cares.
I know this has been an ongoing issue with him, the Jeep world will not purchase anything from him
Really disheartening because I love the design. I have given it a ton of thought as to “how can I make this work”?
Now it’s down to , gotta be a solution without spending MORE money and time.

Oh wow!! That is dated July 2019 obviously nothing happened as of yet with him, his scrupulous business practices are the same. Thank you very much for the information. I am going to contact the Kern county DA and inquire about what happened.
Good for you not getting involved with Steve at Hanson off road.
Unbelievable he’s still in business

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office encourages anyone who thinks that they may have been victimized by CALMINI or Cal Mini Truck to contact Raelynn Aguayo, an investigator with the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, at (661) 868-5855.

I know I sound like a Karen…
It totally sucks and I get it. My POS is twisted anyway so maybe it would fit perfectly. To bad I'm not closer. I have one of there old front bumpers but I think I personally will only deal with Gordon or MIGS on anything new.

GOOD LUCK MAN.

Not sure if you made a decision. Just seeing this post. We have a great plate style rear bumper. Similar in styling to the Hanson bumper.

I can give the thumbs up to Tom’s plated bumpers. I received a set a few weeks ago and they fit perfectly and were very easy to install. Also, they had then in stock so I had them a few days after ordering. I talked to a few other fabers and they were several months out.

I like the look of most all of them, but it comes down to the ease of use and strength of the design of their tire carrier to me. If you are looking for that option…

I just got Tom's front and rear bumpers bumpers a few months ago and very happy with them. The spare tire rack is secured with DeStaco style clamp and locking pin which does the job but I like the cam latch better. I believe Protofab is the only ones who have cam latch.

I like ProtoFab’s too, but it isn’t perfect…
An internal weld broke on mine so the cam latch guts fell out and I had to send the carrier back to Arizona for them to cut it open, fix it, weld it back together, and return it to me…
That was not a cheap shipping endeavor but it had to be done.
