Rear carpet hold down strip+Tailgate to bed seal retaimer

Does anyone know how the rear carpet to hold down strip works with the metal tailgate to bed seal retainer? My original parts are long gone.

On mine a 77 you screw in the bed seal first and then on mine the carpet laid over the bed seal then I screwed in the carpet strip
