Has anyone ever flipped the backseat around? If so, did you like it?

Suzy Duffs Loco is that way. I rode in it on the trails and it was pretty cool. Going down the highway I don't know if it would be legal or that great....

I put a set of Subaru Brat seats like that in mine. They are great since they have grab handles built in.

I wonder if that would keep the kids hair out of there eyes??? Im not worried about them watching the world go by backwards.....they hardly even notice the world with there my pods, my phones, tweeter, face story, and such anyways.

Hey brother- yes, and it was awesome. My wife Erin and I would take the bronco up the street to the homemade ice cream place. We'd open the tailgate and sit in the seat to people watch.

I don't have any seatbelts in the back... its also good for fishing. Its out now because the EB is going through a major rebuild!

Sounds like a plan to me. Heck when mine actually works long enough for people to ride in it they get in through the back any ways.

Thanks for the input guys!

Rolltide, this was my original inspiration for the idea...I was thinking how nice it would be to fish out of!

I wife and daughter road with Suzy Duff and loved offroading with the rearward facing seat. For street use, I would think forward facing would still be better.

I ran mine that way for a while. gives a lot more storage space if the seat is rarely used for people. It is perfect to kick back in and let your feet rest on the tailgate.

I see a lot of people do that when going to a car show or something like that. Looks quite comfortable.

I went ahead and flipped it to where it faces backwards. The kids love it! The wife loves it because it keeps the dogs in the back when they ride with us. I love it because I have a spot for speakers/highlift/fire extinguisher/coats between the seats now. Also, as an added bonus, my sons Yamaha Blaster will fit in the back!

One thing to mention: When I sit in the seat, my head is only about 1 in from the underside of my rollcage...I am about 6'3" though....

It would be extremely dangerous in the event of a crash. Your spine isn't designed to be as flexible in that direction. If you want something rear facing, you have to make sure you have support for you full back and neck.
