I've found threads discussing break-in proceedures for new and rebuilt engines.

take it easy for 1st 500 miles then change oil.
no synthetic oil during break-in.
also, if cruising at steady speed to vary rpm's
etc.

Does this hold true for engine top rebuilds also?
i'm currently having my heads rebuilt.

302 w/ rv cam
4bbl holley
edelbrock manifold
headers
electronic ignition

currently, i'm running synthetic oil.
do i need to change to regular oil?
i've heard not to change back to regular oil.

what about light towing?

thanks for any tips

The oil thing is to allow the rings to set and a flat tappet cam to break in.

As said above, top-end requires no break-in.
