So over the weekend I installed both of
My vent windows. My passenger side vent window is a rebuilt unit from northeast and I had to do my driver side As they don’t do them anymore. I’m having an issue im hoping someone can help me with. Both window are doing the same thing.
Once I open either of them, it almost impossible to get them to close again. The driver side is way worse than the passenger side. I’m including some pics that show the issue. The windows hit the outside of the frame that it pivots out of. I have to push and squeeze to try to get them back closed. I took the driver all that way back out of the frame reinstalled it and haven’t tried to open it again. I will say they both will open and close out of the door frames. So I feel like there’s an issue with how they are fitting in the door frame. I have done everything I know to do to make sure they are fully seated in the door frame but I’m out of ideas. Hopefully these pictures can show what I’m describing. These are passenger side only. As I can get it back closed. This is a 66 bronco. Original upper door frames. Driver side door is new. Passenger side door is original.

The rubber seal at the top of the door frame (

circled) doesn't look like it is fully seated. Might account for you being able to open it but not get it closed again?
Also, is there any play in the post that the vent frame rotates on?
