Most of the headlight upgrade threads date back to 5+ years ago.:(

I have to admit, I'm somewhat of a headlight addict. I've retrofitted several cars now with projector HID or project LED kits into OEM housings. I'm looking for something LED off the shelf this time.

I've read and watched a few vids on the JW headlights and I'm not particularly fond of their new beam pattern. The "shootout" youtube vids have been helpful, but I'm looking for opinions, light pattern pics, brightness etc for kits from WH, CBM designs, Morimoto Sealed7. Are the WH headlights rebrands of another LED? I see that CBM designs has a version for $400, but no information is provided on them and I dont see any difference that other "knockoffs" except the price tag.

Does anyone have actual beam pattern pics and lumen readings?

I don't have any pics but I did the headlight upgrade kit from Tom's and got the led bulb upgrade also. Love them.

Tom's kit is a halogen housing with LED bulb? How is the glare for oncoming drivers? Looking for a crisp beam pattern too.

Yeah it comes with HIDs and I got a set of LEDs with the kit.

They are bright. I've not been flashed or anything but I bet they might be somewhat irritating to oncoming traffic.

I'm glad I can see now after ditching the old school lights.

Wait, here's a pick after the install of the kit. Driver's side is the LED. Pass side is the standard bulb that came with the kit.

here's a good thread from just last year. I went with the Grotes.

https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=305779

Extremely happy with these and price is right!! usually a 50.00 discount code available from advanced auto on top of that so make sure you do a search if you decide to go this route.

I dig how these look closest to OEM compared to the LED projector options.

The Grotes look really nice.

Picked these up a few months ago on the recommend of another CB member, seem ok to me (I've only driven at night once since installing):

Big improvement over the sealed beam, even without a harness / relay upgrade.

I like the look of the Grotes better. But these aren't super gaudy for LED lamps.

These look very similar to the CBM Designs headlights ($400). All these companies have "claims" to why their's is better too.%)

My grote LEDs are very comparable to my wife's 2017 BMW M5 and draw less than 5 amps with both high and low beam on. I don't think anything else needs said ;D

Thanks for the suggestion and links! I just ordered these and also got the $50 off! Having a set of OEM looking headlights was a big factor for me.
