Recommendation for Houston based Mechanic

Group,
I am looking for a recommendation on Houston based (I live West of the Galleria inside Beltway) mechanic to fix a handful of issues with a recently purchased 1974 Bronco. I bought the Bronco off Ebay knowing I’d run into issues once received. Power steering is not properly working (pump or gearbox), taillights need to be correctly wired (no break or reverse lights), clutch needs to be adjusted or replaced, second gas tank installed, etc. Then eventually install the Vintage Air VTA-74076-LFU. Nothing requiring a diagnostic machine, but a trust worthily, reasonably priced, quality mechanic. Time is not an issue given the truck is a weekend toy. The recommendation can be a place of business, someone who works out of their personal garage, or someone who wants to make some extra cash and work out of my garage. Lack of time and novice shade tree mechanics prohibits me from completing myself. I have the Ford factory 1974 service manuals (Volume 1-5) to assist.

if it was mine I'd trailer it about 3-4 hours west on IH10 to Kerrville/Ingram and let BC Broncos fix it up. Chuck and Jason are EB experts and reasonably priced.

I'm not from Houston but I know a couple of names/places in the area we would recommend steering clear of. so if someone is recommended off the forum post up the name.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to try and post this in an existing Houston-related post to see if I can drum up some more responses.

I made a post about this recently. I got my lift and NV3500 installed at a place at the intersection of Clay and Campbell; north of I-10. The guy's name is Javier, owns his own mechanic shop and did good work for me. He also had two other old broncos in there getting worked on, one of them was getting the AC and some other stuff installed. He mainly works on old land cruisers, but used to have a bronco as well so he is pretty familiar with them. PM me and I'll give you more information, and probably find out where you live so I can leave some parts in your yard. :)

I am in same boat, new to the EB world and the site. Have a 73'that I am working on and through. I have already committed a few of the cardinal sins, bought on ebay and dont know crap about working on it myself Mainly a weekend cruiser, but I would like to have a few things updated for lack of better term. I am in Memorial.

I have also heard good things about Javier, went by there the other day he was not around. Lots of FJs in the lot.
