Looking to buy an air compressor that will run on 110V, 20 amps. Prefer it to have wheels so can be moved around. Light duty use but would like as much as I can get in that package. Have looked a t lot of them. Home depot has a 30 gallon, 175 psi that meets this criteria for $350. That seems to be the best for buck I have found.

Opinions or other suggestions very welcome.

This will be used at a house I am renting, no rewiring to accommodate anything else so recommending larger 220v units is not an option, plus I already have one of those and don't need that or want it where this is going.

Seems like a good deal. 30 gal's aren't that common and that's a good price.

If noise is a concern, single stage compressors are loud........most if not all 110v compressors are single stage.

The one I had was defining in the shop BUT it worked and I abused the hell out of it. Had it for 15 years or more and its still running today but at my son n laws :)

Bigger the tank the better......I had a 30 gal Craftsman and it would run most things but high CFM tools drained the tank quickly and it couldn't keep up.

I've since upgraded to a 2 stage 80 gal Quincy

I bought the 30 gallon vertical from depot. I like it so far. It had better numbers than what lowes offered in a 30. Its a lot quieter than my 25 year old craftsman that died.

I've used a 21 gallon, 125 psi Harbor Freight one for all my painting and air tools with pretty good success. Runs low occasionally, so if you're running only air tools then it ain't great, but for occasional use it's pretty good. (And reasonable @ $175ish)
