I'm doing a big round of maintenance on the truck and updating/replacing parts as needed.

Are there any recommended fuel filters for our 302? I tried doing a quick search for recommended ones but came up short. I have the #1403 Edelbrock Carb without the screw-on fuel filter.

Can I/should I use this K&N: https://www.amazon.com/K-N-PF-2000-Fuel-Filter/dp/B00OXZE4SC/

I have this one (or similar) installed at the moment: https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/20-Micron-Before-Pump-Fuel-Filter/broncofuelhoses

Thanks!

The AFB carburetors have the fuel inlet in the passenger side rear. and Ford has the fuel pump on the driver's side front of the engine. I like the chrome steel fuel line that Edelbrock sells as part #8134. I got a filter to fuel line adapter that reduces the diameter from 3/8" to 5/16" the output size of the fuel pump.

I run a marine fuel filter on all my rigs. Here you can see the one that is mounted on firewall behind the pas side fuel inlet on the AFB carb..

Outside of the fact that it looks really cool, is there an advantage to the Edelbrock #8134 compared to the $10-$15 Duralast or Motorcraft inline filter?

Wix 33481. It is a stainless body EFI filter used on GM stuff forever. You can find one at any parts store. EFI so it filters down to 2-micron and high flow rating as well. Lots of people run them on carburetor applications as well. O-ring sealing, adaptors for hose nipple an AN fittings exist in mass.

FWIW, Napa Gold filters are made by Wix. Their numbering system is very similar.
