Reinforcing steel hood after cutting hole......

Here's is what I did.....
You can see where I welded a length of square tube along each edge and also connected the existing hood braces...

Post pics of yours and what you did in this thread for others...

that's a good idea. I just riveted my supports back to the hood. it does jiggle just a bit more than it used to, but not real bad.
