So i’m in stalling the dash and components i need to to know from looking at the dash left to right what order the heater and vent pull knobs go and where do each one connect on the plenum. Also the electric wiper motor and its drive arms i need to see a pic of it installed correctly so i can get to orientation correct.

Fyi this is all for a 1974 bronco in case that matters

Heater knobs from left to right are

Defrost - hooks to the left most rod on the heater box to operate the flapper that sends hot air to the windshield ducts.

On/Off & pull for heat - this is the electric switch that turns the motor on and off. The cable hooks to the rightmost rod on the heater box. Electrical connections to the motor.

Temperature control - hooks to the valve in the heater hose in the engine compartment

I just noticed that the screws holding the dash in place are installed with the windshield either removed of in the lowered position....

Question wich way would be easier to attach the pull cables. Mount to dash first, install dash, then connect cables? Or connect cables first then mount to dash?

currently doing the same install - dry fitted everything and i had no problem reaching under/behind the dash and heater box to set the cable on the flaps and tighten the hold down bracket. my seats are out of the vehicle which makes things way easier to get to.

cheers

So I installed the knobs on the dash first along with the stock radio. Without a stick radio in the way I think either way can work.
