Remove Metal Trim From Side of Bronco

Hello,

I am looking into buying my first Bronco, and the car that I'm interested in has the metal strips running down the side of the body (like this). I'd prefer it without metal strips (like this).

So, here are my questions:
-Am I able to remove the trim?
-Will I need to re-paint the whole car once I do that?
-Are there holes left over from the trim? How would I fix that?

I'm trying to figure out how much work and money will go in to removing the trim, and if that makes the particular Bronco I'm looking at worth purchasing or not.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the site!

Yes, there are holes behind that belt line trim. You would have to weld them closed which will cause you to repaint, at least that area. But repainting just a specific area like that is hard to do and make everything match up.
