Removing Explorer ecm firewall box

What is the trick to removing the explore ECM box from the firewall?

There are screws up by the dashboard that are a pain in the ass if I remember correctly

the trick is to walk past the exploder and find an 03ish Escape. maybe 03-06? that box is much easier to retrieve with 8mm and 10mm sockets perhaps. the box is up under the wiper valance but much easier to get to

X3, I buy them for around $5 at a local pick and pull. Super easy and fit perfectly.

Also look in the Ford vans with 5.0's. Super easy to get.

Escape ecm box

Thanks all for the great tips. Removed the box from 03 Escape. It is cast aluminum with a great front seal
