Removing front coil springs

Installing a lift, i need to remove the front springs do i need spring compressors tool? Or jack up Let axles hang and then unbolt spring is that possible to

Un bolt top spring holders. Un bolt top of shock. Lift front of truck by the frame horns, once there is a gap (top of spring and tower), there is no tension on springs, and remove. Simple.

Watch the brake line so you don't stretch it. If you need a little more, undo the anchor bolt as the steel lines flex pretty good.

This is how I did mine. Used two large jacks under the frame rail , then used two hydraulic jacks under the axle, so I could control the axle drop.
