Trying to remove my old stock shock mounts to install the new F250 mounts.

Is there a trick? I got the bottom weld cut off but there must be one on the back side @ the top of the frame rail, right?

Whats an easy way? Cause I've been working on this one side for about 1.5 hours.

Pics would be awesome if anyone has any.

others guys and myself take an easier approach, after you cut the old mount off at the frame clean up the rest of it real good, smack the sides out with a hammer and wedge the F250 mount into the old one.

takes all the guess work out as to how it should mount up and if you want to slide your new towers up a little more you have the old shock mounts offering extra welding contact for better support.

Works Great!

Hmmm, I like that approach except I already cut the bottom weld off.

Does a Sawsall work good for cutting it off at the frame? I didn't look behind it yet.

With a finetooth blade will. I like use a cutoff wheel on a grinder though myself.
